CHILE – Government Employees on Strike

Public sector workers in Chile are on strike, causing delays to processing of several key documents for companies employing foreign nationals in Chile.

Employees at the Registry Office, which issues ID cards, and the Internal Revenue Office, which issues Tax ID Numbers, are participating in the strike, for which an end date has not yet been set by Unions.

So far, neither the immigration service nor the International Police Office is taking part in the strike.
