GREECE – Residence Permit Applications Suspended 15 to 24 February
The Ministry of Interior in Greece has announced that it will not be accepting any residence permit applications between 15 and 24 February 2017, due to the implementation of technical reforms.
The anticipated technical changes include a new requirement for the applicant to visit the Ministry of Interior for fingerprinting, and the issuance of new residence cards.
Details remain unclear, but delays are to be expected for those planning to submit residence permits.
- Employers in Greece should note that planned residence permit applications (and therefore the date that the applicant may start work) are likely to be delayed.
- Employers and applicants should contact their immigration provider for up-to-date information.
