IRELAND – New Requirements for Employment Permit Renewals
The Department for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation (DJEI) has announced new documentation requirements for Employment Permit renewal applications.
What is Required?
Effective immediately, when any employment permit is being renewed, DJEI now requires the submission of P60s covering the entire period from when the initial permit was issued. For example, if the initial permit was issued in 2012 and is being renewed in 2014, then P60s for 2012 and 2013 must be submitted.
Previously, only the most recent P60 had to be submitted with an employment permit renewal application.
In Ireland and the UK, the P60 certificate is a statement issued to employees at the end of the tax year, detailing taxable income and deductions made.
- Note the new requirement to submit P60s for the entire Employment Permit period for renewal applications in Ireland.
